Those profiting from Boko Haram insurgency don’t want it to end – Governor Zulum Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Zulum, has alleged that there are people benefiting from the insurgent activities of Boko Haram and will not want it to end. The governor, who disclosed this in an interview with BBC Hausa, lamented how some people, whom he claimed were profiting from the Boko Haram insurgency in the Northeast region and Chad, were scuttling the fight against it. “There are people who don’t want this insecurity to end because they will not be happy with that,” he said. The governor, who noted that success had been recorded in the fight against the insurgency, decried that Boko Haram members are now making influx back to the region after being flushed out from Chad. He called on people to unite and support the security operatives in order to address the Boko Haram menace. The governor, however, didn’t specifically mention those profiting from the insecurity in the region.

Suicide Bomber Leaves Many People Dead After Attacking A Mosque In Mubi

Scores of people are feared dead following a bomb blast at a mosque in Dazala area of Mubi town in Adamawa on Tuesday. According to eyewitnesses, suspected suicide bomber around 5 am during the Muslim early morning prayers carried out the attack.  I counted 27 dead and 49 injured people as they are being evacuated to the hospital, said one Mubi resident, who simply identified himself as Danladi. The Chairman of Mubi North, Alhaji Musa Bello who spoke to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) said he would give details of the incidence later. There are many casualties including dead but I cannot give you the exact figure now as we are trying to ascertain the damage  . South African man brutally stabs his 3-year-old son to death, says he "sacrificed him to God"

  A man identified as Thabang Ngobeni, 25, stabbed his 3-year-old son to death n a veld near the Bremer Street informal settlement in South Africa because he believed that sacrificing the child would "cleanse him of the evil that has befallen him" The body of the boy, Mohau was found in the veld with multiple stab wounds to his face and chest. “We were alerted to the situation shortly after 16:00,” said Hercules CPF chairman, Johan van Staden. “The body was found not long afterwards.” Xander Loubser of Bestcare paramedics was part of the search party that found the child’s body. “When we found him, his little body was already cold,” said Loubser.
