Those profiting from Boko Haram insurgency don’t want it to end – Governor Zulum Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Zulum, has alleged that there are people benefiting from the insurgent activities of Boko Haram and will not want it to end. The governor, who disclosed this in an interview with BBC Hausa, lamented how some people, whom he claimed were profiting from the Boko Haram insurgency in the Northeast region and Chad, were scuttling the fight against it. “There are people who don’t want this insecurity to end because they will not be happy with that,” he said. The governor, who noted that success had been recorded in the fight against the insurgency, decried that Boko Haram members are now making influx back to the region after being flushed out from Chad. He called on people to unite and support the security operatives in order to address the Boko Haram menace. The governor, however, didn’t specifically mention those profiting from the insecurity in the region.

  A mother-of-three has died following breast enlargement and tummy tuck procedures on the advice of staff who told her it would be cheaper to have both done at the same time.   Late Louise Harvey, 36, died from blood clots following the surgeries carried out by Transform plastic surgery clinic at Riverside hospital in London. The beautician was not given a second dose of blood thinners despite medical notes indicating she had a significant family history of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a coroner said. Her mother Linda Harvey, 53, whose own mother died of blood clotting, said that her daughter was sent home without the necessary medication. It was reported that a second dose of anti-coagulant drugs to help thin the blood was 'crossed out' on her notes indicating she had been given the dosage.   A man identified as Thabang Ngobeni, 25, stabbed his 3-year-old son to death n a veld near the Bremer Street informal settlement in South Africa because he believed that sacrificing the child would "cleanse him of the evil that has befallen him" The body of the boy, Mohau was found in the veld with multiple stab wounds to his face and chest. “We were alerted to the situation shortly after 16:00,” said Hercules CPF chairman, Johan van Staden. “The body was found not long afterwards.” Xander Loubser of Bestcare paramedics was part of the search party that found the child’s body. “When we found him, his little body was already cold,” said Loubser.
