Advise them against following strangers. High number of girls on hookup are slaughtered for rituals - Ogun police urges parents to prioritise their daughters' safety


The Ogun State Police Command has urged parents to prioritise the safety of their daughters as a high number of girls on hookup are being slaughtered for rituals.

The spokesperson of the command, SP Omolola Odutola, gave the advice in a statement posted on her X.com handle on Thursday.

This comes a day after she revealed that that many cases of missing young women and girls k!lled for ritual purposes are connected to hookup culture sweeping across the country.
“Parents! This message is for your attention. Your daughters need your support. Advise them against following strangers,” she wrote.

Suicide Bomber Leaves Many People Dead After Attacking A Mosque In Mubi

Scores of people are feared dead following a bomb blast at a mosque in Dazala area of Mubi town in Adamawa on Tuesday. According to eyewitnesses, suspected suicide bomber around 5 am during the Muslim early morning prayers carried out the attack.  I counted 27 dead and 49 injured people as they are being evacuated to the hospital, said one Mubi resident, who simply identified himself as Danladi. The Chairman of Mubi North, Alhaji Musa Bello who spoke to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) said he would give details of the incidence later. There are many casualties including dead but I cannot give you the exact figure now as we are trying to ascertain the damage  .   A man identified as Thabang Ngobeni, 25, stabbed his 3-year-old son to death n a veld near the Bremer Street informal settlement in South Africa because he believed that sacrificing the child would "cleanse him of the evil that has befallen him" The body of the boy, Mohau was found in the veld with multiple stab wounds to his face and chest. “We were alerted to the situation shortly after 16:00,” said Hercules CPF chairman, Johan van Staden. “The body was found not long afterwards.” Xander Loubser of Bestcare paramedics was part of the search party that found the child’s body. “When we found him, his little body was already cold,” said Loubser.
